In a unexpected crossover event that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the official announcement, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret sect.

The mission focuses on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
